His passion for flying a seasoned one.
Seventeen years in the sky, not just doing a job, but also working to save lives.
You see, Craig Smith was committed to reaching out to desperate patients in need organs immediately.
Craig spent more than a decade flying with a team of doctors, transporting organs between hospitals: precious cargo, life-saving cargo.
But his load was also a little lighter, flying for General Motors, Ford and Diameler-Chrylser.
And his passion for helping others wasn't limited to his time in the sky.
He was also an avid musician -- a guitarist, in fact. And don't forget the trumpet.
That music was also part of a mission to raise money for charities.
When he performed, others benefited.
But, beyond what what he did, he will be most missed for who he was: a smiling face and man out for a laugh with a genuine interest in everyone else.
