Pet of the Week
for November 13, 2008

Daisy

Hounds are even tempered and intelligent dogs that have a sense of humor. Daisy the two-year old Plott Hound Labrador mix is no exception. Like most hound dogs, she is confident and determined especially if she catches a whiff of a good smell. She follows her nose through life and is eager to explore whatever it is that waits around each corner. Daisy needs a companion who appreciates adventure and likes to live life in the moment.

Daisy is very smart and quick minded, and she needs lots of activity to keep her content. She has a sporty build, and her long stride will be appreciated by any hiker or power walker. Daisy is a very friendly pooch who loves attention and spends her evenings relaxing in the middle of the living room floor while having her floppy ears rubbed. She likes most dogs she meets but we recommend a dog introduction to ensure a good match.

You can adopt Daisy now at the Arizona Humane Society's Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion, 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. She has been waiting at our shelter since October and is now part of our Lonely Hearts Club so her adoption is only $35. This includes her spay, vaccines, collar, I.D. tag, leash and a follow-up veterinary exam. For more information, please call (602) 997-7586 or log on to www.azhumane.org.

Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter; however, the AHS has dozens more wonderful pets who also need loving homes. Please take a moment to meet some of the other dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter! To see all our adoptable animals right now, www.azhumane.org/findapet.

The Arizona Humane Society is a private, nonprofit organization funded by donations. AHS Adoption Centers are located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix and at 9226 North 13th Avenue in Phoenix.
